Call for performers

Al-Bahira Dance Theater is now accepting performance slot requests for the Fall Spooktacular! Pull out all the stops and show us what you got! Spooky, eerie, creepy, experimental or just plain beautiful works are welcome. Dance and/or music. Variety is the spice of life!

Performers of all styles, including student groups and troupes, are welcome to join us. And you don't have to be a belly dancer--nor do you necessarily have to stick to the "spooktacular" theme--musicians, dancers from other disciplines, fusion dancers, and performers with experimental belly dance works are welcome and encouraged!

Please note, this event has a limited number of performance slots available, and these slots may fill quickly. The artistic director reserves the right to make final decisions about all performance requests.

Interested in performing? Contact Mirah at mirah@mirahammal.com by August 1. In your initial request, please provide:

*  Your real name (and the names of any other people in your act, if applicable.)

*  Performance name or name of your act (if different)

*  Estimated length of your piece if known (5 min. or less is fine. Between 5 and 7.5 min may be ok if you talk with Mirah first and time in show permits.)

*  If you know what you would like to do, please provide a short description. (I promise--your secrets are safe with me!)

*  A phone number where we can reach if there are questions or issues.

Due to space and program considerations, we do need to hear from you in advance. Thanks for your understanding.
